Stephen W. Eubanks, M.D.
Stephen W. Eubanks, M.D., is a board certified dermatologist who has practiced in the Denver area since 1984. He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma and his dermatology training from Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver. He began his dermatology career at the University Park Medical Clinic and established the Laser Center at University Park in 1989. When the University Park site closed, Dr. Eubanks helped establish the Dermatology & Laser Center at Harvard Park. Dr. Eubanks is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Eubanks has a long-standing full service dermatology practice that includes skin cancer surgery, standard dermatology care, cosmetic dermatology and comprehensive experience in skin laser surgery. The laser surgery includes the one of the states first vascular laser surgery centers that treats children with vascular birthmarks, adults with facial blood vessels and abnormal leg veins and scars and stretch marks. He also has been one of Denver’s pioneers in laser resurfacing with both carbon dioxide and Erbium:YAG lasers. He also uses six different lasers to treat a variety of conditions.
Dr. Eubanks lectures and teaches laser related courses throughout the country and has consulted for a prominent international laser corporation for twleve years. He teaches dermatology for primary care physicians through a continuing medical education company. He enjoys hiking, skiing, mountain climbing, golf and kayaking.
Carl W. Demidovich, M.D.
Carl W. Demidovich, M.D., is board certified in dermatology and has been board certified in pediatrics. He graduated from Miami University summa cum laude with a B.A. in Zoology in 1981. He received his M.D. degree from the Boonshoft School of Medicine in Ohio in 1985, where he was a junior inductee into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Demidovich financed his medical education with a scholarship from the United States Army. He completed residency training in pediatrics at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, and then dermatology at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver. After additional assignments in San Francisco, Wurzburg, Germany and Fort Riley, Kansas, he fulfilled his commitment to the government, was honorably discharged and joined the Dermatology and Laser Center in 1996.
In addition to his practice of general and pediatric dermatology, Dr. Demidovich has a special interest in cutaneous oncology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. He also has extensive experience in vascular laser treatments in both children and adults.
Dr. Demidovich lectures and teaches dermatology for primary care physicians both in this country and internationally. He is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Dermatology where he provides dermatology resident surgical instruction at the V.A. Hospital. He actively participates in clinical research and takes pleasure in writing medical articles for publication. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Mohs Surgery. He enjoys mountain and road biking, downhill skiing, mountaineering, and scuba diving.
Elizabeth (Libby) R. Shurnas, M.D.
Elizabeth (Libby) R. Shurnas, M.D., is board certified in dermatology and has been board certified in pediatrics. She attended the University of Northern Colorado and received a degree in chemistry. After college, she graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1989 and then completed two residencies in pediatrics and dermatology. She has worked in the Denver area since 1995 and joined Dermatology and Laser Center at Harvard Park in 1999.
Dr. Shurnas focuses on general, laser and surgical dermatology of pediatric and adult patients. She also performs many cosmetic procedures and is our consultant for the skin care department.
Dr. Shurnas is on staff as a clinical professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and several Osteopathic medical schools. She is a clinical researcher and lectures both domestically and abroad in dermatology.
Her hobbies are diverse and include horseback riding, hiking, cycling, skiing, golf and scuba diving. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Osgoode S. Philpott, Jr., M.D.
Osgoode S. Philpott, Jr., M.D., is board certified in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology. He attended Yale and Colorado Universities for his undergraduate degree, a B.A. in Arts and Sciences. He graduated from The University of Colorado with a medical degree with honors including Alpha Omega Alpha. He attended the University of Michigan for dermatology specialty training, then joined his father in this practice in 1964.
Dr. Philpott has served as a Clinical Professor for the University of Colorado in the department of Dermatology. He now works three half days each week and enjoys fishing, hunting and golf.
Clinical Staff
Corbin B. Rogers, PA-C
Corbin Rogers, PA-C is a board certified Physician Assistant. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Health Science. He completed his Masters in Health Science and Physician Assistant training at the University of South Alabama. Corbin has been specializing in Dermatology since 2002. He has practiced in Tucson, Arizona and came to the Dermatology and Laser Center in January of 2003.
Corbin has developed a special interest in the treatment of psoriasis and has become one of the most experienced providers of the excimer laser in the state of Colorado. He enjoys golf, racquetball and all types of fitness activities.
Chelsea E. Schweid PA-C
Chelsea joined the practice in March 2009. She graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Nutrition. After working at Children's Hospital in the Nutrition department, she returned to the academic world to pursue training as a physician assistant. She graduated from Quinnipiac University with her Masters and P.A. degree in 2006. After graduation, she practiced in the Boston, Massachussetts area for two years as a Physician's Assistant with a private dermatology practice in Cape Cod.
Chelsea practices general dermatology with special interests in cosmetics, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and minor surgery.
Her personal interests include running (Boston Marathon 2010), horseback riding, snowboarding, and the culinary arts. Her husband, Mike, is an Orthopedic Physician Assistant and practices in the south metro Denver area with the Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic.
Nursing Staff
Our nursing staff consists of four Medical Assistants and two Registered Nurses. All are highly trained and have significant experience in Dermatology. They not only provide vital assistance to our physicians but are available to answer questions from our patients, as well as obtain precertifications for surgeries and prior authorizations for certain prescription drugs. They make sure that our patients receive the best possible care and attention. In addition, one of our Nursing Staff members is fluent in Spanish and is available for translation upon request.
Skin Care Dept.
Michele Erickson and Larissa Worley work in conjunction with the physicians to assist in treating such conditions as acne, photo-aged skin, melasma, and hyperpigmentation. Treatments are also available for hair removal and skin rejuvenation. Our Skin Care Department can provide free consultations for cosmetic treatments and skin care products. Sharon Kluk
Sharon Kluk joined our staff as Practice Administrator in May of 2006. In addition to a Bachelor's Degree from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, she has seven years of experience in management and accounting for a Dermatology practice in Albuquerque, NM.
